"I Could Count on Comma to Keep Me Accountable" | Sara Jones of InclusionPro

Sara Jones, CEO of InclusionPro

As the sole owner of InclusionPro, Sara Jones helps business leaders create transformational change through diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies. Doing this successfully requires fostering a meaningful connection to truly understand who they are and what they need.

When Sara needed more help with marketing her own business, it was important that any content created by an outside agency aligned with who she is and what her brand stands for.

With Comma, she found that and more. After being paired with a writer who was similarly passionate about DEI and an editor who helped guide the process, Sara realized that working with Comma was about more than great content. She was getting the accountability that she needed from a team she could trust.

InclusionPro builds diversity equity inclusion strategies for leaders who really want to see transformational change happen in their companies. As a sole owner of a business, I have every hat. I have to do the marketing as well as the delivery of my services. And so, it's really important to me that my marketing really aligns with who I am and my brand. In diversity equity inclusion, there's a lot of bad marketing out there, and it's really important to me that it connects and it really reflects who I am and what I believe.

Being a small business, it's really important for me to find really great consultants that can help do parts of the business that I can't do. I have actually been wanting to write a book for a long time, not necessarily publish, but I've been wanting to write something that really kind of puts a lot of my thoughts into more of a book form. And so, I called up Crystalee, and I said, can you help me with this because one, I don't have time. And then two, just the process of writing a book just is very intimidating, no matter how accomplished you are. I think there's just this intimidation factor of writing a really great quality piece of content that really needs that level of professional attention. And so Comma was such an amazing team.

The thing I learned that I didn't know at the time was that I was actually getting the full package, which also included the project management piece, which was so, so valuable. And to really have that I could count on them to really keep me accountable was so actually really, really valuable because I could have just kept procrastinating forever on this book. They were so good at helping me keep my deadlines in a very kind way.

I think that if you want a partner that really will spend their time to understand who you are in your business and what you need, I think Comma is a really fantastic option. They very thoughtfully paired me with the editor and the writer. It was exciting for me because I had a writer that was actually passionate about writing my content and had some experience. I think that for me was really valuable because it helped me put a lot of trust in Comma.
