Annual conferences offer professional content marketers plenty of diverse options to grow professionally. Investing your money and time in these opportunities to grow your business and foster new relationships can pay dividends for the remainder of your career. Explore the many options offered this year —- you’ll be sure to find a fitting opportunity for you.

1. INBOUND | Boston, MA | Sept. 5-8

Hubspot is synonymous with inbound marketing; the digital marketing giant brings all of its knowledge, experience, and expertise together to host the annual INBOUND conference. Centered around culture, innovation, and creativity, INBOUND creates moments to remember for marketers of all kinds.

Tickets are currently available at both the general admission and V.I.P. levels.

2. Aspire Her | Location TBA | Date TBA

Aspire Her is one of our favorite conferences. Every year we take the opportunity to share the word of this wonderful gathering of successful women in the workplace. (This year, we’re proud to do it for the first time as a certified WBENC woman-owned company!) One of the goals of Aspire is to establish a community of ambitious women and offer the wisdom of mentors and leaders.

In addition to offering resources and tools for women in any kind of business (from full-time executives to stay-at-home moms) Aspire also fosters a community of supporting and insightful female entrepreneurs who are passionate about success. The date and location for Aspire HER are still to be announced (TBA), so be sure to bookmark the website for updates.

3. ANA Masters of Marketing | Orlando, FL | Oct. 24-27

The ANA Masters of Marketing event provides opportunities for marketers to network, grow, and learn both in-person and remotely. In-person attendees will learn how to maximize their marketing results in a sustainable fashion in sunny Orlando, Florida, at the Rosen Shingle Creek luxury hotel. Remote attendees will be able to network through Grip’s intelligent matchmaking service, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help foster meaningful connections.

4. Traffic & Conversion Summit | San Diego, CA | Sept. 12-13

Billed as “Seven Events in One,” the Traffic & Conversion Summit gathers thousands of marketers to meet and form partnerships while learning from experts in their corner of content marketing. T&C has sessions and keynote speakers discussing the future of marketing, e-commerce, social media, SEO trends, and more.

This conference prioritizes actionable, strategic resources over theories, so take your notebook and several sharp pencils to get down all the proven tactics and insights to supercharge your business. And with networking and happy hour opportunities, it will be easy to connect with some high-powered professionals in the marketing industry, whether you attend in person or virtually.

5. Interact Digital Marketing | Florida | Spring

The 2023 Interact conference boasts powerful and free-thinking pioneers in the marketing industry, including Anne Handley of Marketing Profs and Will Leitch of Gawker. You’ll also hear from marketing professionals, comedians, and even a marketing professional/comedian!

This looks like an amazing chance to escape relentless marketing babble and instead hear from leaders who changed the game with their innovative ideas. The official date and location are still TBA, but the conference will be held in the spring of 2023 in Florida. (Note: Because Interact postponed last year’s event, it is honoring 2022 tickets for the 2023 conference.)

6. Confab | Minneapolis, MN | April 30-May 3

It’s the final Confab! You might have heard that the conference is closing down after its twelfth year. Content marketers, catch this opportunity to expand your network before it’s gone!

The Brain Traffic folks are proud to introduce the lineup of thought leaders for this year’s conference, with officers and executives from Pratt Institute, Indeed, and Facebook, to name a few. The plans are still coming together, so sign up for their newsletter to stay current.

7. Strategic Marketing | San Diego, CA | May 8-9

Leaders from the world’s most powerful brands will come together at the Strategic Marketing Conference in San Diego. CMOs and brand executives from Chipotle, Nike, and TD Bank will show you how they streamlined their businesses and supercharged their success. This conference is designed to “cut through the noise” of a hyper-digitized world and make decisions that will have a real impact on the consumer.

Many recognizable brands have already snatched up slots for this event in September, so make plans to get there before it’s too late.

8.  Gartner Marketing Symposium | Aurora, CO | May 22-24

If you are a digital marketer that handles multi-channel marketing, data analysis, or customer experience, listen up. The Gartner Marketing Symposium / Xpo bills itself as a place for trailblazers and creative thinkers to challenge the conventional wisdom ruling this type of content marketing.

This is a great opportunity to learn some emerging technologies and marketing strategies designed to enhance your business’s customer experience. Join up with CMOs and thought leaders from across the industry as they discuss new tactics for marketing that drives growth. Take advantage of networking opportunities to expand your reach with high-quality content.

9. Content Marketing World | Washington, D.C. | Sept. 26-29

Making any kind of content requires creativity, and sometimes it feels that that creativity can run out. Attendees at Content Marketing World can’t help but be inspired by the fresh ideas and new insights that they learn from thought leaders and in sessions. Copywriters attend to sharpen their skills in voice, branding, visual storytelling, and generating the maximum demand for their content.

Year after year, the CM World conference draws talented content creators, PR experts, and agency leaders to collaborate and share up-to-date strategies. This conference is huge and offers plenty of chances to network with global members of the marketing industry. Find it in its new digs in Washington, D.C., in 2023.

10. Lava Con 2023 | San Diego, CA | Oct. 14-17

The theme for last year’s LavaCon, held in New Orleans, was “Connecting Content Silos Across the Enterprises,” and they brought in over 600 speakers to share their knowledge over diverse topics in the marketing industry. (And because it was New Orleans, it even included a viewing of the Halloween Parade!)

LavaCon 2023 is going to be in San Diego, so the festivities might look a little different than last year’s. But this is a great conference for marketers looking to create their brand, manage their message, and scale their content to reach as many people in their audience as possible. This year’s topic is “The Convergence of Marketing, Training, and Technical Content'' – check their site for speakers as they register. LavaCon 2023 isn’t until October, but sign up early for this one.

2023 is an exciting time to be a content creator. If you’d like to learn more about Comma and what it’s like to be a part of our team, check out our careers page.
